I have a rear strut that was replaced from a collision. It has a slight bend to it. I was wondering if it can be straightened out and reused? The replacement strut seems to be of lower quality and seems to be causing inconsistent right height.

If you mean a McPherson strut, the answer is no. The long shiny rod must be perfectly straight and smooth to work as a shock absorber.

Ok I was thinking the same thing. Thanks. I’m looking at the strut(Mcpherson) and it has a very slight bend to it from a crash. Such a waste of a good strut lol.
