How do I know if I have to replace my shocks or struts?
-
The first thing that will go wrong with shock absorbers, or the shocks that are part of the “struts” in your suspension, is that they will start to leak the oil that is inside. Look for signs of oil leakage around the top of the shock body where the shiny metal rod comes out. Once this starts leaking, the time before ride and handling is severely affected will only be weeks or months. Time to replace.
